The look of the moment might be classic or wild, retro with a contemporary twist, or maybe it requires a daring coloring technique. As stylists we find it all pretty fascinating. What's rewarding for us is the chance to combine our enthusiasm for fashion, artistic and technical expertise with your sense of what's right for you. It's our job to make fashion approachable and realistic. The important thing is to talk to us, tell us what you like or what you don't, or even tell us you're just not sure. We love being creative, but we'll always follow your lead. And yes, bringing in pictures is just fine. It may surprise you but we actually encourage you to try different stylists once in a while. They're all good but each one can give you something none of the others can.
HAIR STYLE GLOSSARY Everything you wanted to know but were afraid to ask your stylist: Cut & Style - A cut that suits you, your face shape, your hair texture, your personal style. The right cut & style is very important and can even change your life. Fringe Cut - For between cuts when your fringe bangs needs to be freshened up. Blow-dry - Shampoo and style for a special occasion, or to finish a color or conditioning process. We don't suggest a blow-dry following a perm process. Up-do - Longer hair styled in an up-do for a special occasion. Thermal Hair Straightening - Yuko Systems Japanese method of permanently straightening the hair. Permanent - Adds body, texture, and style to fine or limp hair. Partial Permanent - Adds shape to shorter styles or revives an existing perm. Straight Permanent - Removes unwanted curl or frizz from all hair types. Relaxes, re-textures and smoothes overly curly hair. Tint - Natural looking gray coverage, fashion colors to enhance contemporary styles or provides high lift tints for blonde hair. Partial High-Light - Special effects or natural sun-kissed color that adds brightness to even the shortest styles. Highlight- Adds subtle to bold color, gives sparkle, dimension, and can deplete any amount of gray. Lower maintenance than all-over color. Semi-Permanent Hair Color - A low-ammonia color that won't lighten but gives incredible shine and richness. Lasts up to six weeks. Scalp and Hair Treatment - For health, beauty and relaxation. Balances and conditions the scalp and hair. Special Conditioning Treatment - For colored, damaged or stressed hair.
