YUKO Hair Straightening, also known as Japanese hair straightening, is the world renowned U.S. patented method recognized as the leading brand of chemical hair straightening that gives you low maintenance, shiny, hassle-free straight hair. No matter how curly or unruly your hair is, YUKO will create the results you’ve always wanted.

ESSENTIAL STEPS FOR YUKO HAIR STRAIGHTENING

   STEP 1: Consultation
A stylist will check your hair type, chemical treatment history,    dryness and damage level.

STEP 2: Shampoo & Pre Treatment
They will wash your hair and spray on the appropriate pre treatments. The Pre treatments prepares the hair with necessary nutrients for processing.

   STEP 3: Solution (Processing)
YUKO Hair Straightening solution will be applied and left to saturate the hair. The solution will physically change the internal structure of the hair.

   STEP 4: Rinse
The solution is rinsed off completely.

   STEP 5: Ironing
After rinsing, the stylists will blow dry and iron the hair.    Ironing permanently creates the straight shape.

   STEP 6: Neutralize & Style
Condition and finalizes the newly straightened hair.

STEP 7: Blow Dry & Iron
For the finish touch, the stylist will blow dry and iron to    style the hair accordingly.

Hair Extensions Don't Have To Be Expensive!

According to an April 2014 article in Modern Salon magazine, years ago, a full head of hair extensions could cost anywhere between $3,000 to $8,000. Now that they have become more popular, the price for high quality hair extensions has come down so you don’t have to spend a fortune to have gorgeous hair! Stylists usually charge per hour or per strand installed (in addition to the cost of the hair itself). Luckily, there are multiple options for you to make sure your extensions fit into your budget.

Because Tape-Ins are the fastest to install, the cost of installation will be less than the other methods. An installation for a full head can be as quick as 30 minutes. Tape-In hair extensions are the latest rave because of the high quality, natural, seamless finish you get once installed. They can be reused up to three times and will last 3 to 6 months with proper care upon each installation.

I-Tips are more expensive than Tape-Ins as far as installation goes because they are more time consuming. These extensions are installed strand by strand and are attached to your natural hair with tiny beads that are crimped to secure their hold. They can be installed in as little as two hours, but it can take longer depending on the thickness of your hair. These are clients’ favorite because they allow 360º movement and the beads are easy to hide. You can reuse them up to three times and they will last anywhere from 3 to 6 months after each application, if cared for properly. This method requires no heat, glue, bond, or chemicals.

Fusion tends to be more expensive than the other two methods. They too are installed strand by strand by connecting the extensions your natural hair with a keratin bond. The application time is about the same as the I-Tip method. Stylists have been using the fusion method longer than any other method because of the natural feel and the ultimate styling potential of not having to hide beads or tape.

For those on a tighter budget, Clip-Ins might be another option to look into. Because you can quickly put them in and remove them yourself, you save a good amount of money not having them professionally installed. These are a favorite of the commitment-shy who want some extra length for a special night or occasion. Clip-Ins can last anywhere from 6-12 months if cared for correctly.

As far as the cost of hair goes—the longer in length, the higher the price. Lengths can range from 14 inches to 22 inches in Tape-In, I-Tip, and Fusion. Prices for Clip-Ins are based on your choice of single clips or full head extensions.

So, What Exactly Is Balayage And Why It Is The Latest Color Craze?

1/28/2016

Balayage has been around for a while but this timeless technique is creeping its way back into being one of the most popular hair color requests in salons today.

What is balayage?
Balayage is a French word meaning to sweep or to paint. It allows for a sun-kissed natural looking hair colour - similar to what nature gives us as children - with softer, less noticeable regrowth lines. The principal idea being less is more when creating soft, natural looks.

How is it applied?

Balayage is applied on the surface and not saturated through the section until the very tips, otherwise you would have a streak of colour that isn’t vey soft at all. It can also be called a freehand technique because no foil or meche are used to create the highlights.

What sets it apart from traditional hair coloring?

It’s totally bespoke to you! A good balayage expert will be able to place the color to suit your skin tone so it’ll look amazing and really light up your features. But don't get it confused with layage - a similar but more precise technique.

What's making it so popular recently?

It’s a skilled technique that hasn’t been widely taught in the US until recently. Now it’s becoming better known because all the models and A-listers are wearing it. Clients are seeing it on the catwalks and red carpets and want to get that finish rather than the uniform highlights that foils give.

Does it require a lot of maintenance?

Very little. It grows out beautifully and more naturally so you don’t get an obvious regrowth line and and can wear it for longer between appointments. All you really need to do is protect it as you would any other color: use a color protecting shampoo and conditioner, regular treatments and heat protection when styling.

Is it suitable for all hair types/lengths?

It works on both light and dark hair, so anyone really. Both Rihanna and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley are great examples of balayage poster girls. It's the perfect combination of brown and blonde tones, bronde is perfect for darker haired clients who want to try out a lighter color, it can be warm neutral or cool. The choice is really between you and your colorist. Balayage pretty much works for all lengths except very short cropped hair.

It's low maintenance, looks more bespoke, more natural, and is a modern technique that’s much more flattering. Healthy hair is attractive hair and that’ll never go out of fashion. Balayage gives a gorgeous healthy finish that looks nature-enhanced, glossy and expensive. It can be natural or strong, whatever you want, it’s all about the application technique.

Give me a call and we can together determine if Balayage is a viable option for your new style.
